Young Researchers Honored and Connected
May 29, 2026 - With numerous participants, engaging scientific presentations, and in-depth professional discussions, the Young Research Day held on May 18, 2026, at UMMD was a resounding success. The event brought together students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers from various departments and provided a platform for presenting current research projects as well as for networking within the university medical center.
Charity Run Against Breast Cancer - Final Run on June 1, 2026
May 29, 2026 - Since mid-March, staff at the Breast Center of the University Women’s Hospital in Magdeburg have been raising awareness about breast cancer through a special charity run. The funds raised will be used to support patient cafés, patient associations, and events related to breast cancer, among other initiatives. The final Monday Runday will take place on June 1, 2026. We will celebrate the end of the charity run with a big raffle and other activities.

May 28, 2026 - As part of the 7th Saxony-Anhalt Heart Week, UMMD is hosting its own event on June 15, 2026, in the lecture hall, Building 7. Under the motto “Your heart will love it!”, visitors can look forward to a varied program featuring numerous hands-on activities centered on health—experience, participate, test, and learn.

Patient Event for World MS Day
May 20, 2026 - On June 3, 2026, the UMMD will present new developments in the treatment and diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Under the theme “Multiple Sclerosis – MS: Now More Than Ever!”, participants can look forward to a varied program featuring up-to-date medical presentations, practical information, and opportunities for personal discussion. People with MS, their families, and anyone interested are warmly invited.
